When I landed in Canada at 20 years old, I didn’t have a roadmap.
I didn’t have money, connections, or a safety net.
I just had two suitcases, a quiet dream, and a belief that God wouldn’t bring me here for nothing.
Those two bags held everything I owned.
But looking back, they also held everything I needed…
discipline, grit, and a willingness to start at the very bottom.
I worked night shifts, walked in the snow, rented tiny rooms I barely remember, and took every opportunity that showed up.
There were seasons of struggle, seasons of rebuilding, and seasons where God redirected my whole idea of “success.”
That’s why this book and this website exist.
Two Suitcases & A Dream isn’t about “immigrating the right way.”
It’s about becoming.
Becoming the man God meant me to be… one small decision, one hard season, one lesson at a time.
It’s a story of faith, family, scarcity, rebuilding, and eventually stepping into purpose.
And if you’re reading this, maybe you’re in your own rebuilding season too.
Maybe you’re starting over.
Maybe you’re chasing a dream that feels too big for what you currently have.
If so, I want you to hear this:
You’re not late.
You’re being prepared.
This journey isn’t about the luggage you arrive with.
It’s about the person you become as you unpack the life God’s placed in front of you.
Welcome to TwoSuitcases.ca.
Salamat ng marami for being here.
This is just the beginning.
Much love,
AX
